SCS Software went to Ford!

Hey there, it’s me, Arrow, and I’m thrilled to share an awesome experience I had following along with SCS Software’s latest adventure in their SCS On The Road series. This time, the team took a trip to the Ford Motor Company’s World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, and let me tell you, it was a gearhead’s dream come true! As a huge fan of American Truck Simulator and Ford vehicles, I couldn’t wait to dive into the details of their visit, which they shared in their recent blog post.

The folks at SCS Software—Nemiro, Oscar, Mark, Matej, and Ondřej—got the chance to get up close and personal with Ford’s legendary lineup of vehicles. From classic models to brand-new rides and even some special ones, they had access to it all. Their mission? To capture reference photos, videos, and sound recordings for the upcoming Road Trip module in American Truck Simulator. I can only imagine how exciting it must’ve been to see those vehicles in person and know they’re going to be part of the game I love.

What really stood out to me was the hospitality Ford showed the SCS team. Despite the chilly Michigan weather, the folks at Ford welcomed them with open arms and gave them the run of the place. They even got to meet Matthew Korczyk, Vehicle Coordinator at Ford Performance Parts, and Matt Leaver, Product Development Specialist at Ford, who went above and beyond by lending his own Ford Bronco for the team to capture reference material. How cool is that? It’s amazing to see such collaboration between a gaming company and an iconic brand like Ford, all to make our American Truck Simulator experience even more immersive.

The SCS team’s blog post also included a video episode of their visit, and I highly recommend checking it out. Watching them document every detail of those Ford vehicles makes me so excited for what’s coming in the Road Trip module. The sounds, the designs, the little quirks of each vehicle—it’s all going to add such a realistic vibe to the game.

I’ve got to give a huge shoutout to Ford for making this visit happen and to SCS Software for taking us along for the ride through their SCS On The Road series. If you’re as pumped as I am about this, make sure to show Ford some love by following them on X, Facebook, and Instagram. And, of course, keep up with SCS Software on their socials so you don’t miss any updates. Oh, and don’t forget to follow our social media channels to stay in the loop.

I’m already counting down the days until we can hit the virtual roads with those Ford vehicles in American Truck Simulator. See you out there on the highway!
